If you're visiting Buenos Aires, you'll need a SUBE card to get around. Here's everything you need to know to use it during your stay and travel on public transportation. The SUBE card is essential for using public transportation in Buenos Aires, whether it's buses, subways, trains. If you're a tourist and have never used it before, the SUBE card serves as a pre-loadable wallet from which your fare will be deducted when using different modes of public transport by tapping it on terminals or turnstiles.

The easiest way to buy the SUBE card is in some stores and "kiosks" around the city, and also in many subway stations (not all of them). They are also available for purchase on campus. The cost of the card is approximately $2000. When buying it, load it with some money in the same store you buy it (perhaps $4000 will be enough for the three days), so you can use it everyday. The price for a bus ride is around $330, and for a subway ride is around $700. If you combine both rides, the second ride in the immediate next 2 hours is half price.
